Introduction

Rooted in Scripture, built for Nepal's church

Asia Theological Seminary (ATS), affiliated with Asia Evangelical College & Seminary (AECS), Bangalore, and formerly known as AECS Nepal, is an evangelical, non-denominational theological seminary committed to preparing Christian leaders for faithful and effective ministry.

Christianity does not have a long history in Nepal, and the Church began to grow more visibly following the expansion of religious freedom after 1951 and the restoration of democracy in 1990. Since then, the Church has grown rapidly in many parts of the country, creating a greater need for sound biblical and theological education.

ATS exists to respond to this need by providing biblical, theological, spiritual, and practical training for pastors, church leaders, ministry workers, and those preparing for Christian service. Through accessible and ministry-focused theological education, ATS seeks to strengthen the local Church and equip Christian leaders to serve Christ faithfully in the context of Nepal.
